Homestead Rebate Information
New Jersey homeowners should have received their 2017 Homestead Benefit applications. The deadline for filing the 2017 Homestead application was Monday, December 2, 2019.
The 2018 Homestead Benefit applications should be coming out in the Fall of 2020. Please look for them at that time or call the Tax Collector's Office in Borough Hall: (732) 741-4200 x112.
With few exceptions, homeowners must file applications online or by phone. Homeowners should read the instructions in the application carefully and file if they meet the eligibility requirements. Homeowners who have already sold the home that was their principal residence on October 1, 2016, or who plan to sell should visit the Division’s website (www.njtaxation.org) for additional guidance.
The online application (www.njtaxation.org) and the automated telephone filing system (1-877-658-2972) will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the filing period.
